Drop Separator UAKDS/ECDS

Description

The drop separator is an accessory for duct-distributed humidification with evaporative high-pressure humidifiers optiMist or high-pressure humidifiers humiFog Multizone.

The accessory is used in installations where operating conditions may involve a risk of droplet carry-over. The drop separator captures water that has not had time to evaporate and protects downstream components in the duct system, such as:

• cooling coils
• air filters
• fans
• sensors
• duct surfaces

The drop separator is available in two versions:

• UAKDS* – standard version with fibreglass modules
• ECDS* – version with stainless steel filter material for hygiene-critical installations, such as healthcare facilities, pharmaceutical applications and other environments where requirements according to VDI 6022 apply.


Variants

• UAKDS* – standard version with fibreglass modules.
• ECDS* – version with stainless steel filter material (AISI 304) for hygiene-critical installations, suitable for systems where VDI 6022 requirements apply.


The drop separator is installed in the duct or air handling unit downstream of the humidification section. It separates remaining water droplets before the airflow continues through the system.
