Description

CAREL linear steam distributors are designed for the distribution of atmospheric steam in ventilation ducts and air handling units (AHUs). They are intended for use with isothermal steam humidifiers and provide uniform steam distribution in the air stream with a short absorption distance and reduced risk of condensation.

 

The linear high-efficiency DP-series (DP******RH) steam distributors provide to customer needs, also in terms both functionality and energy savings.

 

The distributor is fitted with an air cushion, acting as an insulator between the steam pipe and the outer jacket. This reduces heat exchange between the hot steam inside the distributor and the lower-temperature air in the duct/AHU, and this reduces condensation by at least 20%.

 

Just like the classic DP-series, excellent steam distribution is ensured by the modular construction, making it possible to virtually cover all duct/AHU widths and exploit as much air flow as possible.

  – Humidifier steam capacity
  – Duct dimensions

• Model selection is based on duct height and required steam distribution capacity.

• Available in lengths from 350 to 2050 mm.

• Diameters of Ø45 or Ø60 mm (for Ø30 or Ø40 mm hose).

• The steam distributor is installed directly in the ventilation duct or air handling unit.

• Model and length selection is based on duct dimensions, steam capacity and required absorption distance.

• The steam distributor is connected to the humidifier via steam hose or steam piping, together with a condensate drain connection.

• For optimum performance, recommended straight duct lengths and minimum distances to bends, filters, cooling coils and sensors must be observed.
