VarioDuct™

VarioDuct™ is a motorized damper type unit designed for the FabricAir® textile system, enabling the combination of two different flow models for draft-free cooling and heating within the same textile duct. The unit contributes to minimized energy consumption and optimizes room comfort through low vertical temperature gradients, ensuring uniform temperature from floor to ceiling.

Function

• The unit is equipped with an internal membrane that divides the duct into an upper and a lower section.

• A motorized damper enables the membrane to change position. During cooling, the airflow is directed to the upper section, and during heating, the airflow is directed to the lower section.

• The lower section of VarioDuct™ is used for heating, allowing high temperature differentials (positive ΔT), while the upper section is used for cooling with supply air below room temperature (negative ΔT).

• The two separate sections can be designed for different static pressures, temperatures, and airflow rates, enabling adaptation to specific requirements and comfort levels.

VAV Functions

• VarioDuct can advantageously be used in VAV solutions^*) and can be connected to a BMS (Building Management System).

• VarioDuct can be combined with Klimatbyrån’s range for demand-controlled ventilation. This enables combinations of ΔT for high heating/cooling capacity and offers multiple operating modes with project-specific control strategies.

• Klimatbyrån can provide proposals for project-specific demand-controlled solutions and equipment, tailored to the desired room functions.

^*) The unit requires external control equipment for operation of the motorized damper.
