humiSteam X-plus

Steam is generated by introducing water into the electrode cylinder (steam cylinder). The water is heated when it comes into contact with the electrodes, meaning that no current can flow between the electrodes without water. Dry firing is therefore impossible. Steam generation starts rapidly and increases as the water level rises. The higher the water level around the electrodes, the higher the current and steam output. The water level, and thereby the steam output, is controlled according to the humidifier controller settings. This control method provides a high degree of flexibility in steam output across the unit's operating range. Steam production can be controlled either by on/off operation or by modulating control via a potentiometer-based sensor (humidistat) or another external control signal. Steam is distributed either through steam distribution pipes in the ventilation duct or by means of a fan unit, which can be mounted directly on top of the humidifier or installed separately on a wall.

Design
The product is available with two types of steam cylinders. A disposable cylinder can be easily replaced after a certain number of operating hours, depending on water quality. Alternatively, a cleanable steam cylinder is available and can be reused multiple times. In addition to the standard version, the cylinders are also available in a version designed for water with lower conductivity (down to 75 μS/cm).
