Duct profiles for every challenge

The FabricAir^® system offers a wide selection of custom duct profiles tailored to specific project challenges as our engineers design the air dispersion system to ensure the best possible fit for each individual application. In addition to classic fabric ducting, we offer specialized duct types, such as VarioDuct^™, that cater to specific air engineering challenges. Classic fabric ducting comes in a wide assortment of duct profiles in addition to the round and D-shaped favorites.

Circular Ducts

FabricAir Round ducts are the most commonly used duct profiles and are typically found in open ceiling applications. The duct diameter can be made as small or as big as required. Read more about our round duct profiles and accessories.

Semicircular D-profiles

D-Shaped / Half-Round Ducts can be used when there is a hard ceiling to attach to. This duct profile is typically used because there is not enough head room to install a round duct or to make the duct appear to be part of the ceiling rather than free hanging in the space. Read more

Oval D-profiles

The oval duct profile can be used when there is a hard ceiling to attach to. Typically, this profile is used when there is not enough head room to allow for the use of a semi-circular duct, for example in applications with specific height restrictions such as high warehouses or server rooms. The profile can be wider and shallower compared to the classic D-shape. The oval profiles can also be an aesthetic choice, as they keep their shape both with and without airflow.

Quarter-Round Duct Profiles

Quarter-round ducts can be used where the suspension can be mounted directly to the ceiling, wall or corner. This duct profile is typically used in applications with both ceiling height and space restrictions or to make the duct an integrated and visual part of room. Quarter-round ducts are a discreet and aesthetic choice as they maintain the same shape with and without airflow.

Rectangular Duct Profiles

FabricAir square ducts can be adapted to any solution and is available with all our flow models and fabric types. This duct profile is typically required when there is not enough space for a round duct to accommodate the desired airflow, or when the application requires separate temperature zones within the duct.

Shape Retention Options

Circular ducts installed with conventional suspension types, e.g. H-rail, normally lose their shape when the air supply is stopped. The duct then hangs freely and doesn't maintain its circular shape. For circular ducts, the system offers shape-retaining accessories in order to maintain the shape of the duct even when the air supply is turned off.
